Private for the right reasons

Community standards.

Kismet is selective about intention, never status. These standards exist to foster the kind of dating community where genuine connection can grow.Last updated October 19, 2026

Be genuine

Use your real identity, current photos, and accurate information. Do not impersonate someone, misrepresent your relationship status or intentions, operate automated accounts, or use Kismet for scams or promotion.

Date with intention

Participate because you are meaningfully open to meeting someone. Communicate honestly, respond with consideration, and avoid collecting matches or conversations without genuine intent.

Respect boundaries

Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time. Respect another person’s pace, preferences, decisions, and right to end a conversation. Pressure, threats, stalking, harassment, and unwanted sexual content are not allowed.

Protect privacy

Do not share another person’s profile, messages, photos, workplace, location, or personal information without permission. Never use information from Kismet to intimidate, track, expose, or embarrass someone.

Make room for everyone

Hate speech, demeaning stereotypes, and attacks based on identity or protected characteristics are not welcome. Preferences do not excuse cruelty or discrimination.

Put safety first

Use good judgment, meet in public, tell someone you trust about your plans, arrange your own transportation, and leave any situation that feels wrong. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Accountability

Kismet may review reports and restrict or remove access when these standards are violated. Decisions consider context, severity, patterns of behavior, and community safety.
